The start of a future series!
“Rituals” explores fleeting shapes that happen during mating rituals. I am very interested in the idea that, while sex is a natural occurrence, it’s not an every-day occurrence for most of the animal kingdom. The forms and shapes that are created are both natural and irregular at the same time.
Also interesting is the amount of time it takes to create these highly detailed paintings, as opposed to how briefly the actual subjects are in this position.
